ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Environmentally friendly infrastructure
SOCAR ensures the environmental friendliness of its own infrastructure. We have begun installing solar panels on the roofs of our stations. As a result, the aforementioned stations are completely powered by a solar system installed on the roof.
At the same time, we upgraded to LED lighting and began working on trash separation at the headquarters. We are continually installing electric chargers at our gas stations and encouraging the use of electric vehicles.
SOCAR X Sadagi
SOCAR Petroleum Georgia and Sadagi have begun working together to protect the environment and improve public awareness of the issue, so that household garbage does less damage to the ecosystem.
The companies signed a memorandum that increased Sadagi's activity. Sadagi, a public organization, seeks to protect and improve nature via the participation of all members of society, businesses, and organizations ready to contribute to the resolution of environmental issues. Sadagi has held over 50 events in recent years to achieve this goal, during which unclean locations throughout the country were entirely cleaned with the help of students and pupils.
SOCAR Petroleum Georgia places a high priority on environmental protection as part of its social business responsibility. For years, the corporation has advocated for the development of less polluting electric vehicles and the preservation of green cover - forests. In collaboration with Sagadi, the company actively participated in the cleanup of hazardous sites.
Many events have already been carried out in collaboration between SOCAR and Sadagi, and a number of significant and intriguing activities are planned for the future
Cleaning together with the children's and men's teams of Rugby Club Sokhumi
As part of an environmental campaign, rugby players from the Sokhumi rugby club's children's and men's teams visited the ancient fortress of Chakvinji. The rugby players cleaned the area around the fortress as part of the event, in addition to hiking.
The environmental effort proceeded at the Rukhi Fortress and concluded in Ganmukhuri. Despite the poor weather, the team covered 75 kilometers, cleaning Ruhi and Chakvinji fortresses, and Ganmukhuri beach. Throughout the voyage, Sokhumi players gave presentations about the areas they visited and expanded their understanding of history.
Electric chargers at SOCAR stations
One of the most significant aspects of SOCAR's CSR strategy is environmental stewardship, which is why charging facilities for electric vehicles have been built at the majority of SOCAR stations.

Charity Match for Borjomi Forest Restoration
On September 29, the Georgian Football Federation hosted a charity match titled "World Stars for Georgia" at Dinamo Arena, with assistance from SOCAR Georgia Petroleum! ️
The proceeds from the charity match were entirely directed toward the restoration of the Borjomi forest, resulting in the restoration of 2 hectares of burned woodland.
The fire in the Borjomi valley damaged a substantial portion of the forest. The country's ecosystem has been seriously harmed. During the fire, the company attempted to help combat natural disasters with equipment and fuel, and after the land preparation and cleaning were completed, SOCAR employees planted young woods on 2 hectares.
